Back to School Nite next week!!

Hello Everyone, I wanted to give an update for the coming week.  First, we have no school on Monday, September 3rd, in observance of Labor Day.  Next, we have Back to School Nite on Wednesday, September 5th.  Last, a few parents have been eager to receive homework.  We will be sending Homework Packets home next week in your children's red book bags.  Please read the directions carefully and monitor your children's work throughout the week.  The completed work and books should be returned to school in the red bags on Friday each week.  Hope you have all enjoyed the first few weeks of school, and I look forward to seeing all of you next week at Back to School Nite!!

  2. I plan on having a Powerpoint presentation, going over class expectations, homework policy, daily schedule, etc. I also want to give you all the learning objectives for your children, so that you can help them reach those goals this year.

I will have student work up around the room for you to look at, and station activities out so your children can share some of the things they have been working on with you. I hope it will be a positive and exciting evening, and hope to see all of you there next week!!

    1. Hi Mr. Linnet, Just wanted to know will you have a second session same day? only because our older son attends KI Jones and their back to school night is the same day.

      Thanks Alfred Pulanco

  3. Hello Mr. Pulanco, I just asked our office and it sounds like our Back to School Nights are pre-set by the Calendar Committee. All Elementary Schools have the same time. I am guessing it would be difficult to make both (unless your family wanted to split to make both schools), so I would recommend attending the K.I. school session since your family attended the Kinder Orientation with me at the start of the year. I can put any information we pass out that evening in Nicholas' cubby and you could pick it up the next day to look over. Of course, feel free to attend whichever you like, but I am guessing your family is excited to see what is happening at K.I. Jones with the GATE program. Sorry our schools didn't plan these events better to allow families to make both.

    1. Our older son has been at KI going on four years this being his last year. We really want to attend both so mostly likely we will split them. Thank you for the info. and your time. -alfred
